Grades 5 – 7
Seventh graders Wylie Tennyson and Jada Emmett have been friends for as long as anyone can remember. Jada decides to audition for the school musical, and Wylie wants to do the same, but her stage fright gets the better of her and she chickens out. Still yearning to sing, she decides to create an a capella group and enter in a singing competition sponsored by her favorite reality TV show, Non-Instrumental. Jada becomes jealous of the group and decides to start one of her own and enter the competition as well. Can the two friends work out their differences or be rivals for good?
